Helm” event on Oct. 1 at the Women’s Club of Raleigh. Sponsored by Phillips
Architecture, PA, the program featured a panel of women business leaders who
addressed the challenges that businesswomen have to overcome as they climb the
ladder to success. The women also discussed the obstacles they must face once they
are at the top.

Panelists for the program included: Rusine Mitchell Sinclair, CEO of Girl Scouts,
North Carolina Coastal Pines; Patricia Holland Bazemore, chief of the Town of Cary
Police; Hilda Pinnix-Ragland, vice president of Progress Energy’s Northern Region;
and Melissa Essary, dean and professor of law at the Norman Adrian Wiggins School of
Law at Campbell University. Sharon Delany McCloud, founder of McCloud
Communications, moderated the discussion.
